Night Out//Eating Out

Lasagne is my favourite food!!!! By the way I shared this with my sister ㅠㅠ

Spaghetti Bolognese is also my favourite food cause I love any kind of noodles/pasta/spaghetti. I also shared this with my sister because the portion was just too much!

This is my brother's. I know it is a lot but don't complain because I am not the one who ate it. He ended up bringing the leftovers home because he wanted to finish it at home.

P.S-my mum also had a meal but I didn't take a picture of it ㅜㅜ  I am sorryyyy

Steamed Fish Malaysian Style

Ingredients you will need:
-A fish(any kind)
-3/4 onion(thinly sliced)
-2 stalks of spring onions(thinly sliced)
-1/4 of a chilli(optional and thinly sliced)
-2 spoons of sesame oil or canola oil
-1/2 a spoon of brown sugar
-1 spoon of soy sauce
-1/2 spoon of minced garlic
-1/2 spoon of minced ginger
-3 teaspoons of salt
-1 big tomato(cut into sixths)
-About 1/4 of a lemon

1.
First, prep your fish. My mum had done it for me so i just had to get out the nasty bits that is still hanging(?).

2.
Then, you have to score your fish on both sides. You do not want to cut the fish all the way through, so that it will be split into half. What you have to do is drag your knife along the skin of the fish and make a slight cut into the body. As you can see on the picture above,I had scored three times, so that more flavours would come out.

3.
Take the 3 teaspoons of salt and rub it on the fish on both sides making sure that the salt go into the cuts that you made.

4.
Find a bowl/container that your fish fits into and the steamer that you will be putting the bowl with the fish into.
As you can see i have cut the tail a little bit because it couldn't fit in, so if the fish is not fitting in, cut a little bit of the tail.

5.
After you had seasoned the fish and put it in the bowl, you have to put the wok on the stove filled with water nearly to the top and heat it up on high heat for 10 minutes. Don't forget to put the steamer in the wok!

6.
To make the sauce, you will need the brown sugar, the minced garlic and ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil or canola oil and 1 stalk of thinly sliced spring onion. Put it all in the bowl and mix it up. I put a little a bit of water because I put a bit too much of sesame oil.

7.

On your cutting board, thinly slice the onion and chilli(optional). Cut the onion in half and thinly slice it. I used 3/4 of the onion if you want to use the whole onion you can.

8.
Get your fish that is in the bowl/container and pour the sauce under the fish, on top of it and inside its body. Put your sliced onion and into the steamer it goes for 15-20 minutes.

9.
About half way through, put your a 1/4 of the chilli, the tomato and the rest of the spring onions which are chopped thinly.

10.
At the end, to create some broth(?), I put a little bit of water and a squeeze of about a quarter of a lemon and you are done! My mum, sister and brother loved it and I was proud of myself!
